We are the data controller for any personal data you provide to us or that we collect via https://thefabsgroup.co.uk.

2. The Data We Collect

2.1 Data you voluntarily give us

  • Contact-form enquiry: name, email address, message content.

2.2 Data we collect automatically

  • Google Analytics: anonymised IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time on site.
  • Essential & analytical cookies (see §9).

3. Why We Use Your Data (Purposes)

  • To respond to your enquiry.
  • To operate, secure and improve our website.
  • To analyse usage trends and enhance user experience.

4. Lawful Bases Under UK GDPR

  • Contact-form data: Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate Interest (responding to a direct enquiry you have initiated).
  • Analytics & cookies: Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate Interest (understanding and improving site performance).

You may object to any Legitimate-Interest processing at any time (see §8).

5. Sharing & International Transfers

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share only:

  • With processors who help us run the site (Google Analytics, website host); all are UK-GDPR-compliant and operate under written contracts.
  • Where legally required (e.g., law-enforcement request).

Google Analytics data may be processed in the United States under the Google UK-US Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO.

6. Data Retention

  • Contact-form data: retained for the duration of the enquiry plus six years to meet potential contractual or legal claims, then securely deleted.
  • Analytics data: 26 months, after which Google Analytics auto-deletes or anonymises it.
  • Cookies expire as set out in our Cookie Notice (essential: session; analytics: up to 2 years).

7. Your UK GDPR Rights

You have the right to:

  1. access the personal data we hold about you;
  2. rectify inaccurate data;
  3. erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  4. restrict processing;
  5. object to processing;
  6. data portability (where applicable);
  7. withdraw consent at any time (none currently relied upon, but future features may use it).

8. Security

We use HTTPS (TLS 1.3), server-level firewalls, and role-based access controls. Personal data is stored on ISO-27001-certified infrastructure.

9. Cookies

Essential cookies enable page navigation; analytical cookies help us count visits. No marketing cookies are used. Manage or block cookies via your browser settings—note that disabling essential cookies may break site features. Detailed cookie table available on request.
